Cheyenne Pratola was nominated by Prairie Ridge faculty as a senior to know.

This past year has been anything but normal. Life has thrown a multitude of challenges at us, but through all of it, we kept pushing forward. I know for me, this last year has showed me that no matter how bleak or difficult life may feel, there is nothing that you can’t overcome.

Throughout my life thus far, I continuously attempt to live by important ideals. Some of them include: always spread kindness and not hate, cherish the little moments, and work hard towards your goals. These ideals have helped me navigate through life with ease. If I were to be remembered by someone, I would hope that they would say that I was kind to them, and that I never gave up.

What I’m gonna miss most as I leave PR is the family aspect. What I mean by this is that everyone involved at PR, whether it be the students or faculty, either knows each other or is just nice to one another. Having the luxury of going to a school with not as many students made it easier to make friends and create a welcoming environment for everyone.

Although I am gonna miss PR and all the people here, I am excited to start the next chapter of my life as a collegiate gymnast. It is something I have been dreaming of and working toward since I first started as a gymnast. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to compete for Kent State!!
