Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo greets the crowd on November 4, 2016, during the World Series celebration in Chicago.

The Wolf Prints news team asked people at PR about their favorite moments from the World Series and/or what the Cubs World Series win means to them:

When Dexter Fowler got a home run on the very first hit. I knew it was gonna be a good game from there. [This means] EVERYTHING because it ends an era of bad luck with Billy the Goat – Amanda Heimos, freshman

My favorite moment was when Fowler hit a home run. It’s been 108 years, history was made yesterday!  – Sara Gelon, freshman

Cubs were winning and they broke the tie. It feels nice. – Jennifer Angeles, senior

I saw innings 8-10. I liked the end when Cubs won! It’s a historical moment, something that needed to happen. It means a lot. – Emily Keck, junior

I liked the last catch. I’m happy. I was expecting the win. – Saffron Durrant, junior

When Fowler hit the home run on the third pitch. It means that my dad will be nice for the next week. It’s pretty cool. – Jack Rudolf, junior

The bat broke and I was like woah. I’m not into baseball, but I’m excited. – Helen  Morales, senior

David Ross’s Home Run was my favorite moment. David Ross is one year older than me and the fact that they call him grandpa makes me feel old. It’s really neat that he was able to do that on such a big stage. I have been a lifelong Cubs fan and I was there for two games in ‘03. It’s very exciting. – Mr. Seiler, teacher

“The win means a lot to me because it is so important to my family as a whole, especially to my Grandparents and Dad.” – Madelyn Norstrom, junior
