Clean Out Your Closet

Prairie Ridge student council collects jeans for local teens

In order to help out less fortunate teenagers, members of Student Council are hosting an event called “Teens for Jeans” from Feb. 3rd until Feb. 21st!

Prairie Ridge Student Council will be collecting new (or in great condition) jeans from both boys and girls to donate to local less fortunate teens. Drop them off in the boxes that will be present by the doors of the main entrance of the school.

Prairie Ridge student council sponsor Mrs. Jones asks students, “Take the time to scan your closet for any clean jeans that could have a new owner. Make sure to tell all your friends about this event because your donations could mean a lot for somebody who needs them.”

This is the seventh year Aeropostle has run this campaign and so far they have collected 3.5 million pairs of jeans. See DoSomething.org’s Teens for Jeans website for more information.
