Crowds of seniors were huddled together outside of the Museum of Science and Industry. It was a brisk 40 degrees out, and what was 10 minutes of waiting outside seemed like hours as the monolithic building was practically begging to be seen.
On November 17th, 2011, the students in Science in Society and Anatomy ventured into the museum and quickly dispersed from each other, with everyone excited to see all the different sorts of exhibits. With numerous exhibits viewed, students were asked to share which part of the museum really stuck out for them.
“It had to be the Stages of Development exhibit,” said Mark Wiedner, “I’ve never seen anything like it before, and all of it was real.”
There were other fantastic displays the museum had to offer, such as the Smart Home that Science in Society got to see, and the You! Experience where students had to verse each other in a game by using their brainwaves.
“The point of the game is to relax,” said Ben Rohrer, “I just tried to fall asleep and yes, I was in far more control of my brain than the other Ben, Ben Beecroft.”
Although many exhibits were visited, many more were left to be discovered. With Jess Ayers exclaiming, “I wanted to see the Human Body exhibit,” and with Mark Wiedner saying, “I wish I got to see more of the Space center,”
As soon as we got in the museum it felt like we had to leave, and students were wishing and itching to see more. There were discoveries, and memories of what the human race has left for us in that museum. Not only that, but there were also fun memories of the times we had in the Museum of Science and Industry.
