The Prairie Ridge HS Music Department is proud to announce that Marissa Gabel (Sr), DJ Lima (Jr), Lili Schiller (Sr), & Maggie Tucker (Jr) were selected from thousands of high school students state-wide as members of the Illinois Music Educators Association All-State Choirs.

Having auditioned for the Illinois District 7 Regional Honor Choir back in October, these students were notified on December 4th that they had been selected as members of the two All-State Choirs that will perform on January 25th, 2014 at the Peoria Civic Centre in Peoria, IL.

Prior to the Festival Concerts, DJ, Lily and Maggie will rehearse for 2 days with the All-State Chorus while Marissa will participate in the All-State Honors Chorus. Each All-State ensemble is comprised of 200 students chosen from the 9 regional districts that make up IMEA (Illinois Music Educators Association).

Selection to these ensembles is the highest individual honor available to choral students in Illinois.
