Last month PR freshmen took their first set of high school final exams. Features reporter Jordyn Preukser asked 10 freshmen to describe the experience.
Michelle Lee- “I was stressed. I was crying one of the days, and then I was okay. It was pretty okay during the finals but before I was really scared, but really, it wasn’t that bad. I cried but it’s okay.”
Devin Anderson- “If I remember correctly, my first final I did not study as much as I should’ve.”
Sean Rochford- “Finals were pretty hard, but if you study and actually know some of the stuff and do the review, you actually do pretty good. That goes for everything except English.”
Kevin Karney- “I liked the schedule, about getting up later, that was a nice change.”
Dayna Rudder- “They were easy, you just need to study and you’ll do fine.”
Caitlin Schuett- “I sucked at finals… but I got an A in choir and art.”
Bre Fleer- “I was so stressed out that I wrote my English essay four times!”
Anna Gehrmann- “I studied a lot more than I normally do, but when I got there, it wasn’t as hard as I thought.”
John Williams- “[Finals were] great. I got an A in all my finals…I’m really proud.”
Valerie Sveden- “They were frustrating at points when I was studying, but I think it’s a good way to summarize what we have learned. I got a sense of accomplishment.”
