My favorite teacher had to be Mrs. Powe. She provided support, encouragement and guidance. She was always that one teacher that you can count on, whether it was school related or not. Her smile could light up the whole room.
One thing that I would say to underclassmen is to work hard for your grades but have fun. High school is a once in a lifetime experience, make it count. Join activities, sports, get involved in the short amount of time you have.
The main sport that I played for three years was soccer. It was such an amazing experience to play. Some clubs that I was in were Spanish club and Latino Leadership. They both meant a lot knowing that I was able to speak upon my experiences in being a latina.
As the year ends and everyone goes their separate ways, I hope people remember me as someone who has a passion to help the people in need. I think everyone meets someone in their life who wants to work in the healthcare industry but for the real reason and not for the money. I hope people remember me as someone who wants to help.
My hopes and desires for next year would be following my path into nursing. I will be going to MCC to take my prerequisite and moving on to becoming an ultrasound sonographer.
