
My advice to underclassman is to do everything for yourself. Take the classes you wanna take even if you won’t have any friends in that class. And do what you wanna do without the worry of other people.
I was a lacrosse manager for three years, a boys basketball manager for one year. And I’m in GNHS. I also did Yearbook, French and German club, and I did the D155 microinternship.
I am most proud of the things like trilingual and honor societies because walking in as a freshman I didn’t expect to go above and beyond and try to reach those academic levels.
It wasn’t until senior year that I realized you will never be able to succeed if you’re more focused on how others perceive you, compared to how you perceive yourself. I also learned that the people you surround yourself with can make or break you as a person.
My favorite teacher is Mrs. Passaglia and her forensics class. Mrs. Passaglia always strives to make the class fun and interesting. And has been one of the teachers who has constantly checked up on me throughout the years. And she truly cares for her students. And does everything with passion–she’s who I wanna become.
