Out of everything high school has to offer, I will miss my friends the most. I will miss the guarantee that I will see and interact with them every day. I will miss sharing all of the comical and sentimental moments that come with life. I will miss hearing from the people I’ve come to know like family everyday.
My favorite class had to be Bestsellers with Mr. Boldwyn. You could always count on Mr. Boldwyn to bring energy and excitement every day. His incessant dad jokes never failed to get a smile out of me even if it elicited a groan from a majority of the class. Every day I found myself looking forward to Best Sellers even if I had to give a presentation (something I dislike tremendously). There was never a dull moment with Mr. Boldwyn. Every class was a brand new experience and adventure into interesting, and often tangential, topics. I truly could not recommend a class more.
To underclassmen, I implore you to think outside yourself, to realize that others are people just like yourself, and are worthy of as much consideration, patience, and understanding. I do not ask you to go out of your way to make sure you understand everyone, nor do I think it’s reasonable to ask you to accept everything you see. I only ask you to think before passing judgment, to consider a point of view outside of your own, and to try and understand someone before dismissing them.
I hope I am remembered as someone who helped others, and as someone who contributed to the improvement of the community at PR, especially within the fine arts. I would like to think that I could stand as an example to those who maybe are more reserved like I, that even they can rise up to a leadership role and positively impact those around them and find meaning in that change. I think that once more introverted people share in leadership roles, the voices that are seldom heard will finally be able to be known.

Initially, I was surprised to find your featured message, then when I started reading, I wasn’t surprised that you took the time to put this together. Thanks for leaving this, Jack! Also, I’m applying to be section leader of Saxoreeds my senior year. Our section is projected to be around 28-32 members in 2026, making us the largest section in the Wolfpack Marching Band. Thank you for all you’ve done for our section as well as our community. I wish you well!
