I’ll miss being able to see my friends every day. When you really think about it, high school is nothing compared to what comes next; all you have to do is show up, do as you’re told, and you’ll succeed with the added benefit of being able to do whatever you want with the rest of your time. There’s no real responsibilities, and there’s no real consequences. You’re allowed to have fun all the time as long as you let yourself–something that I don’t see happening in the world of work.
Physics C is my favorite class! For one, I get to sit at a table with three of my favorite friends for 90 minutes everyday. Also, while the class may be a double period class (a red flag for some), it does not meet on Mondays, meaning you get to show up extra late on Mondays if you so choose. Finally, the course material, while challenging, is super interesting, and if you are a math nerd like myself, you will really love the mechanical mathematical aspect of it.
I am most proud of my growth as a person and student. I was very uninvolved when I first transferred to this school since I knew nobody and didn’t really care to. However, as the semesters flew by, I came to involve myself more, little by little, and by my senior year, I guess I have become a “senior to know!” How exciting. I really feel like I have developed into a better, more honest, and more genuine person throughout my time here.
PR taught me that I am capable of being a better person, and it starts with putting my best foot forward. PR taught me that there are plenty of amazing people in this community to look out for; it also taught me that life gets easier when you prioritize yourself and follow your heart.
I am glad to be a PR graduate!
