The United States should continue to aid Ukraine in its defense against Russia.

Ukraine is a generally peaceful country, with a history of being the attacked rather than the attacker.

The only aggression Ukraine has ever possibly shown towards Russia was its attempt to join NATO. But Ukraine only wants to preserve its freedom in joining NATO, while Putin believes that Ukraine still belongs to Russia as the smaller country was once part of the Soviet Union.

Ukraine is fully the victim in this situation, and as such, it’s the US’s responsibility to aid it.

Additionally, Putin and Russia have committed several war crimes in their invasion of Ukraine, such as attacking civilians and bombing hospitals, orphanages, and other civilian shelters.

Putin’s cruel and inhumane tactics cannot be allowed. The United States must aid Ukraine in its fight against Russia and Putin. – Alexander Hochman
