[During the stay-at-home order] I enjoy going on walks with my family and the occasional bike ride. It’s nice to actually be getting some sleep right now – hehe 🙂

I will miss the supportive teachers that were always there to help me. I will also miss the football games being dressed up and standing on the bleachers always feeling like I’m going to fall on my face. I will definitely miss the memories with all of my friends and the close friend group I have been a part of the past two years.

I performed in the Slam Poem competition this year through my Creative Writing class and won second place! Public speaking has always been a weakness of mine and I was really proud of myself for getting up on stage and sharing my poem to an audience. Also, shout out to Mrs. Powe because she is absolutely the most supportive amazing teacher ever!!

I want to be remembered for my hard-working, light-hearted, goofy nature. I love making people laugh and dancing at random moments so I hope that they will remember me for it!

I will be attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in mechanical engineering. I am super excited to make new friendships and connections with people from all over the United States and the world. I know that UIUC offers so many opportunities, and I plan on trying new things out of my comfort zone like the Formula 1 racing team or a German club.
