Mrs. Powe is an extremely caring English teacher here at Prairie Ridge. When she first began thinking about becoming a teacher, she wanted to teach math. This came mainly because she had a teacher in high school that really influenced her and encouraged her (much like she does now for the students of PR). Although she impacts a lot of people at Prairie Ridge High School though her teaching, she says that the “students help [her] see the world in a different way.” Of course she is not teaching calculus now, but she is impacting and encouraging students every day, in her Bestsellers and Sophomore English classes just the same, and that was her ultimate goal and desire.
