Before the school day began, Katie Hamilton and Taylor Onoyan signed letters of intent to continue playing volleyball next year at the collegiate level.
After a recent visit to Loyola University in New Orleans, Hamilton knew this was the school for her. “Everything felt perfect,” she said, and the coach is “exactly what I’m looking for.”
Katie Hamilton, outside and right side hitter, has known ever since she started playing club volleyball that she wanted to play for a college team. “It seemed like the ultimate achievement.”
Taylor Onoyan, middle blocker, will also attend college several states away with her decision to accept the package offered by Bryant University in Rhode Island.
Onoyan’s campus visit solidified the deal in October when she met the volleyball team. “I can see myself fitting in with the girls,” smiled Onoyan, who has played club volleyball since seventh grade.
About the school, she reported, “I loved it – it had everything I wanted academically and athletically.” Having family on the east coast was also a big factor in why Onoyan is excited to attend Bryant University.
