What was it like being back? Nick Hartleb commented that “It was weird being back…almost surreal that I was once the same size and just like these kids.” Justin Lindahl and Kerry Kohlbacher both agree that “it was fun and nice to know that [the kids] look up to us so much.”
Okay, so we’re not The Bears. Regardless, Nick Hartleb noted, “it was really fun. Even though the kids are young they can still teach you important things. And it was neat having them look up to us and have them be so excited that we were there.”
But why dwell on the favorite memories of the past when we can focus on making favorite memories for the future? Nick Nissen enjoyed “having the kids put on the helmets and telling them to put on a mean face.”
Now that we have grown, now that we are the giants, we can look back at the elementary youth and see where we started; we have the timeline of our lives thus far. So to all of you at Prairie Ridge, students and staff alike, keep on growing to be the giant, the hero, you always hoped you would be.

My son is in the front row with the green football jersey! This day meant so much to him, he talked about it for a long time, he thought it was really great to have the big guys come to read with their class. He is really hoping the volleyball team would come visit sometime though…
