The Wolves once again showed their supremacy Friday night defeating the McHenry Warriors 55-19. As seen by the score, this game was in PR’s hands right from the start, literally.
The Wolves’ offense racked up 364 yards to take a 42-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game. QB Nick Nissan led the team to a quick start with a number of 20+ yard runs, the first one being the first play from scrimmage as he ran 56 yards to the McHenry two, and then FB Connor Greenwald ran it in for the first of his two scores a play later.
Steve Bashor also had a 31-yard scamper in the first quarter.
Nissen also had a 63-yard TD run on the first play of another possession, and scored on a 9-yard TD run and threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to WR Sean Valentine to end the first half. He ended up with 272 total yards and three touchdowns.
McHenry QB Robert Tonyan added two touchdown passes in the second half as he finished 26-40 with 331 yards.
The Wolves (8-0 overall, 5-0 FVC) stay at home next week to play rival Cary-Grove in the season finale. The Wolves look to end the season on a high note as they get ready for the playoffs.
