There isn’t too much I need to say.
I’m leaving for college next year, I’m starting a new life, and I’m ready to take on every new challenge. Has Prairie Ridge prepared me? I don’t think so, but I think that’s what makes it all so exciting. I don’t exactly know what is going to happen next and I’m going to have to fake it as I go – something I’m getting better at.
PR has done some good for me though. It provided me with caring teachers and character building after school and in school activities that shaped me into a new and improved person (as opposed to who I was four years ago).
Newspaper was always something I did as a side activity, and hopefully I’ll be remembered as the kid that never once attended a morning meeting and when they saw an article of mine they thought: Who’s that?
The music department also treated me well and in more ways than I can even begin to mention. I think collectively I’ve laughed more during musical season, every choir period, and every day in AP Theory than in my whole life so far.
Every person and thing that made an impact on me these last four years made this a great experience. However now I’m moving on to an even greater experience at North Park University. If you’re reading this and believe you have made an impact on me, good or bad, thank you so much because no matter what has happened to me in the last four years, it molded me into what I am now.
I’m not 100% sure what that is yet, but it’ll come in due time.
